Sharon Jae Hall

Associate Dean, College of Global Futures

Sharon J. Hall is the Associate Dean for the College of Global Futures. Named a President’s Professor in 2022, she brings to the College of Global Futures her background and training as an ecosystem scientist who explores the ecology of native and managed ecosystems that sustain a healthy and thriving world for people and nature. Through her lab, Hall and her students investigate ways to build a brighter, more diverse and inclusive pathway for the next generation of conservation and sustainability scientists, work that strongly aligns with the mission of the college. Prior to her role as associate dean, she served as a Dean’s Fellow in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for Institutional Transformation and the Special Advisor to the Director for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the School of Life Sciences. In addition to being recognized as a President’s Professor, Sharon has been honored with ASU’s most prestigious honors for excellence in teaching and mentoring, including the Founders Day Faculty Teaching Award and the Zebulon Pearce Distinguished Teaching Award.
