The Global Futures Impact Scholars program is an invitation to join us in driving informed, positive action as we work together to build a better future for all.

Through this program, you will be connected with leading scientists and initiatives, empowering you to be a partner in creating a positive impact in our local and global communities.

We are optimistic and confident that together, we can design a future that is more equitable, sustainable, vibrant and promise-filled for everyone.

Program details

As a Global Futures Impact Scholar, you will have the opportunity to receive funding of up to $5000 for projects or experiences related to your interests in positive change towards a better future.

You will enter the program with a cohort of peers and will meet regularly with a Global Futures mentor. Through courses, workshops, and seminars, you will develop your skills as a changemaker, which will make you competitive for fulfilling careers with impact and purpose.

In your second, third, or fourth year, you will participate in a project or experience, and you will have the opportunity to showcase your work in a public presentation.

*The Global Futures Impact Scholars program is open to in-person learners for the 2024-2025 academic school year.

  • In order to become a Global Futures Impact Scholar students must submit a one-minute video — OR — 100 word personal statement explaining how you would like to make an impact while at the College of Global Futures.

*Both the video time and the personal statement word count are approximate and do not have to be exact.

Engaging in research during your time at ASU will allow you to develop your network by working with faculty, gain meaningful work experience to add to your resume and contribute to the discovery of new knowledge, approaches and solutions.

Engage with Global Futures Laboratory initiatives

The Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory offers more than 40 programs, initiatives, centers and institutes that are developing solutions to our biggest global and societal threats. Students have the opportunity to work directly with these programs, gaining hands-on, real-world experience in the process.
