Whichever way you look at it, this has been a gruelingly tough year for everyone. And while there’s only so much we can do to change the circumstances we find ourselves in, we can at least encourage and support each other as we work through the challenges we face.
With this in mind, I asked a few of the staff, students and faculty in the College of Global Futures to send me their favorite “happy places” YouTube videos last week to share with us all — those videos that make them feel a little bit better, despite all that’s going on.
Here’s the resulting playlist:
As you’d expect from such a diverse college, this is a wonderfully eclectic and sometimes delightfully bizarre play list, full of unexpected pleasures.
Of course, there are the obligatory and much-needed videos of cats and other animals. But these are seasoned with a captivating mix of the meditative, the funny, the surprising, and even the occasional video that challenges us to think beyond our usual boundaries!
I hope you get as much enjoyment out of watching these as I had putting the list together.
And Happy Thanksgiving from all of us in the College of Global Futures!
