Hiring undergraduate and graduate students – student workers

Undergraduate and graduate students can be hired as student workers. For more information about on the four different levels, please see ASU Student Employment’s Resources for Student Employers page. See the “Standard Wage Scale”. 

To request hiring a student worker, complete the Competitive Recruitment & Hiring Request form.

Hiring graduate students – RA/TA/GSA

College or school funds

If you have a graduate student position that is funded through college or school funds, you will work with your contact to renew or hire graduate students.

Faculty or grant funds

Renew: If you need to renew a graduate student who is already funded through funds you manage, please contact your fiscal representative.

New Hire: If you need to hire a graduate student through funds you manage, please complete the GRA Hiring Request Form below and Jill Kolp, Academic HR Director, [email protected], 480-965-4795 or Cristi Pontius, Program Manager, [email protected] will follow-up with you.
