School of Sustainability Internship Scholarship
The School of Sustainability Stafford Internship Scholarship program provides funds to help support undergraduate sustainability students completing an unpaid sustainability or innovation related internship with a non-profit organization (which may include NGO’s, government organizations, and education institutions).
The scholarship assists students in meeting costs associated with tuition/fees, books, and living expenses. Awards are not guaranteed and are subject to the availability of funds.

- January 12 for Spring 2025
- May 11 for Summer 2025
- August 24 for Fall 2025
- Award term: Spring, Summer, or Fall
- Academic level: Junior and senior level students
- Eligibility: This application is only available to current undergraduate degree-seeking students enrolled in the School of Sustainability who are in good standing and plan on pursuing an unpaid internship with a non-profit organization. The student needs to have a qualifying internship and be enrolled in CGF 484: Internship (3) during the term the scholarship is awarded. Scholarships are awarded with both merit and need considered. To determine financial need, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is an indicator used to determine need. Complete the FAFSA in order to be considered for financial need-based scholarships.
- Essay: Students should answer the essay prompts based on their experiences. It is important that students spend time preparing meaningful responses to these questions and pay attention to spelling, grammar, and paragraph structure.
- Reference: Applicants will be asked to include the name and contact information of a faculty member or instructor who has agreed to serve as a reference.
